Hotshot provides end-to-end encrypted messaging and collaboration. We cannot decrypt or otherwise access the content of messages or files sent through our applications, all information is only accessible by authorized users as determined by the sender of the information.
INFORMATION WE HAVE
Certain information (e.g. a recipient’s identifier, an encrypted message body, etc.) is transmitted to us solely for the purpose of placing transmitting messages or files. Unless otherwise stated below, this information is only kept as long as necessary to transmit each message or file, and is not used for any other purpose.
1. Information we store
The phone number, email address or identifier you register with, including organization name associated with your account.
Randomly generated authentication tokens, keys, push tokens, etc. necessary for setting up a messaging conversation or sending a file.
2. Transient information
IP addresses may be kept in memory for rate limiting or to prevent abuse.
Information from the contacts on your device may be cryptographically hashed and transmitted to the server in order to determine which of your contacts are registered or in your organization.

We do not share your information with companies, organizations, and individuals unless one of the following circumstances applies:
With your consent.
When legally required.
We will share the information we have with entities outside of Hotshot if we have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation, or disclosure of the information is necessary to:
meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.
protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of Hotshot, our users, or the public as required or permitted by law.
